Education Center:
Through generous donations from the Antonius Pharmacy Deggendorf and the St. Michael's High School Metten we were able to expand the education center by buying two adjoining properties. Also, many courses, trainings and meetings were held for the planning of our projects. In addition, through donations by the families Birle and Scharrer we were able to replace our old project bike which had been in use for several years and thus in need of repair.

Reflorestation Project:
Earlier this year have already distributed about 15,000 seedlings to 64 families in Araruna and organized several training courses for productive cultivation of these plants. Banco do Brasil, funded an employee who supervised the project. For the next year we are planning to plant 25,000 seedlings of fruit trees and other trees. Even our garden project has evolved: with a new technique we can use many vegetables and cultivate medicinal plants as well. We want to show the people how they can meet a small part of their own food demand through the proper cultivation of certain plants.

Water Project:
This year, we were able to provide about 192 families better access to clean water. In cooperation with the German priest Christian Muffler in the state of Pernambuco three new tanks, two cisterns and seven fonts were successfully completed. Now more than 800 people have enough water for the dry season. Overall, so far we have conducted 43 water projects for over 5000 people. Further projects are planned for 2010.

Beekeeping Project:
This year, the beekeeping project suffered a small setback because of the long rainy months and the bad weather condition. This year our 22 beekeepers were able to produce only half as much honey as last year (about 1200 kg). Nevertheless, we can positively look into the new year 2010, because we were able to buy new hives and equipment through large donations (Thanks, Aktion Hoffnung and MEF Lappersdorf) from Germany. In addition, our beekeepers attended trainings on beekeeping, sponsored by our partner organization SEBRAE.

Project Women's Group:
with the help of Sister Socorro we were able to establish new women's groups in three outlying communities. Sister On a weekly basis Socorro visits these groups, who care about medicinal plants and herbs, plant fruit trees or make crochet and knitting work.
Project forage plants:
This year three new food plants in two outlying communities could be created. Another one is planned for next year. Thus we could store about 20,000 kilograms silo for the dry months. This represents an enormous improvement for the rearing of cattle, because now nutrient-rich plants can be fed and not only the water-cactus plants which are usually fed in the arid months.

Goats and Sheep Cultivation Project:
By the beginning of the year a plague killed many of our animals, which meant a major setback for this project. Through your donations we were able to buy 20 new goats and sheep in 2010 and aim to work more closely with the SEBRAE and veterinarians to help prevent future diseases by providing trainings and vaccinations. We are currently supporting 17 farmers in two outlying communities with a total of 170 goats and sheep.

Project Human:
This year we could help 14 families who live in inhumane living conditions through community work. Furthermore, we supported Mr. Damião, who is responsible for visiting sick and old people. Although he suffers from serious health problems, he often visited several times a week the sick and the poor, provided them food and medicines, cared for the personal hygiene of old, lonely or disabled people. We could buy him two bean silos, so he may give the people, who ask him for food, one or two kilos of beans.
Partnerprojects:
We were able to support reliable partner projects with Padre Christian Muffler: a kindergarten and a school with a project for malnourished children.
In addition to these projects, many other small projects and initiatives were supported, but they cannot all be mentioned.
